[Real Talk] I have always felt really safe in our apartment building. But now, not so much. Sharing a stairwell and one elevator from the fourth floor has got me concerned 🦠 😷. I’ve been working hard to get my house finished so my kids and I can move in

At this point, choosing a paint color for the garage doors seems trivial, yet it still needs to get done.

I live in an apartment with my 4 kids and little storage. I loath any type of planning and I tilt towards procrastination. I’ve also never had a Costco membership (anything beyond 24 rolls 🧻 feels like too much of a commitment) 🤪🙃
All that to say....I don’t have a big stash of toilet paper. Definitely not worried though, I’m sure my local friends have some 😜. Also, have any of you used washable cloth wipes? I used those for my kids when they were babies. I may start using them again! .

When we’re used to using disposable cups the thought of living without the “convenience” (plastic/paper cups) can be a serious roadblock. But honestly, when you switch to a reusable product and get into a rhythm using it you realize how much more it simplifies things. I’ve been using reusable cups from @kleankanteen for the past 8 years. Sure...I have to clean it out after each use but there’s practical benefits too.
• I don’t run out of cups.
• I don’t have to remember to buy cups. (One less thing in my brain 🙌🏼)
• My kids can’t use a cup once and then throw it away 💸💸💸
I could go on, but you get the idea.
P.S. This is my tea latte. I alternate between English breakfast and matcha. It’s so good! 🍵 .

This boy lights up life everywhere he goes. 💫
He’s kind, funny, witty, generous, and he gives the best hugs. 🤗 💫
This year he chose to give 3 birthday gifts he was given away. All on his own. No bribing. No guilting. No coercing.

Before your kid’s birthday present them with the idea that they may receive gifts that they won’t really love playing with AND that it’s totally ok not to keep them and even better to give something away to someone else if it’s not something we are really going to enjoy having.
Shift their expectations. Plant seeds in the value of enough. 💚

House update! After 2,357 decision the cabinets are finally going in. Just kidding. Sort of 🤣🤪
This is the workhorse area of storage for my kitchen. No walk-in panty here. I opted for cabinets all the way to the ceiling rather than a “shelf top” look. (aka a dust collector). Stay tuned for more updates! Our move in date is just around the corner!
