Simplify your home and life with Raising Simple.
Every day, our plate is full–full of things. Our calendars are full, our closets are full, and our minds are full.
Becoming a mother moved me into becoming more minimalist. In 2010 we moved from Hawaii to Florida. It was in that move with only two children at the time; I decided I had enough of “the busy life.” I had enough of caring for and maintaining things in my life that were defeating my purpose and passion for living an intentional life.
During that season, while researching ways to live a more simplified life, I came across Beà Johnson’s Blog, Zero Waste Home. I was inspired by the freedom she was able to attain from eliminating excess and minimize the waste in her home. I share her philosophy of owning only those things in our home that you know, use, and love.
Minimalism is a vehicle (and philosophy) that helps you recognize what adds value to your life, so you can let go of what doesn’t.
Raising Simple has become a place to encourage and share solutions to embrace simplicity and minimalism. Through an intentional life of owning less, creating new habits and cultivating opportunities to give, you can have more contentment, more contribution, more quality time for relationships, more time for your passions, and your faith.
We are dedicated to practical minimalism. There is no one way to simplify and become minimalist. At Raising Simple I share what has worked for me and what may work for you. Take what adds value to live your life uncluttered.
